Gluten-Free Donuts – Nothing Better with a Hot Beverage

Nowadays, donuts are just as important in the American diet as coffee. In fact, the two of them go hand-in-hand. Why do you think Dunkin’ Donuts is as famous for coffee as it is for donuts? You can still sometimes have donuts as a snack or with your morning coffee that look and taste delicious.

Whether or not you eat these food items together or separately, I’m sure you will agree that donuts are a delicious, much-enjoyed treat. Of course, it is best for health’s sake to have them occasionally and in small amounts. Still, everyone enjoys having a donut or two now and then. This doesn’t change when you develop a gluten allergy.




Did you know that Dunkin’ Donuts now offers gluten-free donuts? This fast-food chain has developed special recipes for different varieties of gluten-free donuts. Also, each donut and/or pastry will be processed and packaged individually in order to avoid gluten cross-contamination. Your days of grabbing a treat at Dunkin’ Donuts before work have returned. Most, if not all, of the Dunkin’ Donuts locations will have these gluten-free donuts available at some point.

Of course, if you are not into Dunkin’ Donuts, there are other options for grabbing a quick, gluten-free donut … or two. Several well-known gluten-free brands now offer their own versions of gluten-free donuts.

Some of them you can eat straight from the package, while others you will have to warm in the oven or microwave before eating them. Still, this is a great way to obtain gluten-free donuts for breakfast or midday snack from the grocery store. I have listed the different kinds of pre made gluten-free donuts below.

1. Kinnikinnick Gluten-Free Donuts – These are, in our opinion, the best kind of gluten-free donuts that are on the market today. They are perfect for brunch or an after-school snack.

And, best of all, they come in several different flavors including, Chocolate-Coated, Maple-Glazed, Cinnamon-Sugar and Vanilla-Glazed. Each one of these varieties taste great, especially when you warm them in the oven.

They are also easy to find in the frozen section of either a natural food store, such as Whole Foods Market or in a large chain grocery store.

 

2. Ener-G Gluten-Free Donut Holes – If you are looking for a lighter snack, then these gluten-free donut holes are perfect for you. Ener-G is another well-known gluten-free company. They make lots of tasty gluten-free food products such as, bread, crackers and pretzels. These donut holes have a great reputation for being versatile as well as delicious. You can try rolling them in cinnamon and sugar, honey and liquid chocolate for lots of different varieties.




3. Sun Flour Mills Gluten-Free Bagels and Donuts – This is a specially designed gluten-free flour mix for making tasty allergen-free donuts and bagels. Sun Flour Mills is also a great brand that sells certified gluten-free food items. You can easily find their products online or in your nearest natural food store. This mix is a wonderful addition to your gluten-free pantry, especially if you don’t mind taking a little extra time to create your donuts and/or bagels in the kitchen.

You no longer have to deprive yourself of the convenience or deliciousness of donuts. With all of the great gluten-free types of donuts that are available, you will be munching them at the office or dunking them in your morning cup of coffee again before you know it. Learn to love food again!
