Gluten-Free Caramel Candy
Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups corn syrup
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions
- Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- In a saucepan, mix the sugar, corn syrup, butter, and 1 cup heavy cream
- Allow to boil while stirring often
- Then add the remaining cream
- Allow to reach (no stirring) to approximately 250°F
- Test the mixture, if a drop of the mixture in cold water forms a firm but flexible ball, then you are set
- Remove the mixture from heat then add the vanilla extract
- Pour into the baking dish and refrigerate
- When it is cooled, you can cut the caramel candy to preferred sizes
